FORT WAYNE, IN. BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER :: A BLESSED PHOTOG

To walk into my studio the day of your session and allow me to give you an experience that is not only empowering, but sexy and fun.

I’m thankful daily for my clients who allow me to express my love for boudoir photography. I couldn’t do what I love with out their continued support, because honestly — I feel I’d still be sitting in a cubicle drafting court documents or summarizing medical records.

Photography allows me to express my love for beauty and create a memorable experience for each fabulous lady I have the pleasure of working with.

It’s a blessing to come to work everyday doing what you love for fabulous people!

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA :: FORT WAYNE, INDIANA PHOTOGRAPHER

Home of the University of Notre Dame and some of the most beautiful and perfect locations for photo opportunities.  I was super excited to experience just a little piece of South Bend, Indiana this last weekend for a maternity session.  Loved this city and I hope I get the opportunity to photograph there again…..and again.

Here’s just a peek from my maternity session.  Happy Monday!

THE WINTER BLUES :: FORT WAYNE, INDIANA PHOTOGRAPHER

It’s this weather. It’s the chilling air that keeps me inside and probably feeling sorry for myself.  Feeling sorry for myself because I have all these thoughts, dreams and aspirations that I want to come to life, yet I feel like I’m stuck inside this winter bubble.   The thought of sunshine and warm weather puts smile on my face and even more ideas in my mind.  Why is that?  Why does winter make me so, blah?

This month marks me living in Fort Wayne, Indiana one year now.  To some extent, I still feel lost and at times alone.  Jump starting my business and building my photography studio from scratch has left me with very little time for socializing.   I need to mingle more and drink martini’s with strangers.

So let’s toast to drinking more martini’s and meeting strangers!

Happy Tuesday!

DESPERATE :: FORT WAYNE, INDIANA PHOTOGRAPHER

It’s true when you hear a photographer claim that it’s easier to photograph someone else’s children than their very own.  Or I sometimes feel that a root canal is less painful than photographing my own children.  Even though they’ve had a camera in front of their face their entire life – they are my toughest subjects to photograph.  I swear my oldest daughter loses her hearing as soon as my camera comes out.  Or my three year old finds a finger in her nose more fascinating than just smiling and looking at mommy’s camera so we can just create some nice pictures – FOR ONCE!

I’m actually quite embarrassed to say that I’ve resulted in some pretty desperate pleads with my girls.  Especially my eight year old.  I’ve offered to buy her a car at sixteen, allowing her to eat chocolate from breakfast for the next month or lying and saying I wouldn’t take her picture ever again.  Trust me, I ask God for forgiveness after all the lies I tell my children – BUT I’M DESPERATE.

And this last weekend was no exception.  My husband came home for a week before being deployed for almost an entire year with the Unites States Navy and what does every mom/wife want – BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!  Is that asking too much?  Apparently for my children, it is!

Here’s an example from our quick 15 minute session before daddy had to leave and catch his plane.
